Since the beginning of 2025, according to data analyzed by The Washington Post, Democrats pulled back from talking about climate change. At the same time, nations and companies have been pulling back from their most ambitious plans to lower carbon emissions — or going silent on the issue entirely

1. This is abdicating leadership on the #1 issue of our generation. Absolute shame.

2. Perhaps it’s because they know that climate change isn’t all that important to voters, despite their claims to the contrary.

   Ranked #21 out of 22 issues leading up to the 2024 election. The only thing less important to voters was transgender rights, which is why a lot of Democrat lawmakers are okay with throwing trans people under the bus.

3. If politicians are ignoring something, it’s because they don’t believe it will win elections. It’s up to voters to change that. I am so tired of the blame for the things being put anywhere other than on voters who literally chose the current state of affairs.

5. The Dems love it when the Republicans go further right because it allows them to do the same and cash in with their donors even more.

   It’s the corollary of Dems not offering anything good in election campaigns in case it annoys their donors.

   Right now, the leadership of both parties are engaged in a coordinated ratcheting of the system towards oligarchy, discrediting and dismantling democracy one step at a time.

6. It’s like the great “mental health” push which started in 2020 and lasted for about a week by business/governments.

7. It’s fine. Bill Gates promised me it was all going to work out.
