NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska will meet Finland’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen during her visit to Helsinki on 12 November.

NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska and Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen will discuss current NATO matters, such as the lead-up to the meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in December and the NATO Summit in Ankara next summer. They will also discuss Arctic security.

“NATO’s role in increasing the security of the Euro-Atlantic area and Finland is accentuated in the current security landscape. Finland supports a stronger and more capable Alliance”, Minister Valtonen said.

This is Deputy Secretary General Shekerinska’s first visit to Finland. She will attend the Arctic Space Forum in Helsinki.
