Three bodies have been recovered and 56 people rescued by a Frontex during an ongoing search and rescue operation approximately 15 nautical miles south of Gavdos, which lies south of Crete, after a boat carrying migrants capsized.
Two passing ships, two coast guard vessels and an Air Force helicopter are heading to the scene of the sinking.
The operation is continuing amid force 6-7 winds.
