Polish authorities are not changing their plans to open checkpoints on the Polish-Belarusian border this month, RMF reported, citing a source in the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Deputy interior ministers of Lithuania, Poland, and Latvia are set to hold consultations tomorrow. A source in the Polish Foreign Ministry told RMF unofficially that the meeting had been planned long ago and was intended to address the migration crisis.

It is not ruled out that the crisis on the Lithuanian-Belarusian border will also be discussed, but this is unlikely to affect Poland’s plans to open the border crossings with Belarus this month, the ministry noted.
