How about asking them why they would vote reform? Ask them what their lived experience is. What is their truth? What experiences have shaped their viewpoint to make it misaligned with yours?
I know some people think it’s easy to state that their is an obvious moral viewpoint, but sometimes reality has a way of sewing your perspectives and adjusting your priorities.
I know a parent whose young son was raped by 3 men after his paper round in the back room of the corner shop he worked for. The men were protected by their community and never saw a courtroom. Their community helped them escape to their home country.
Try telling him he is wrong for voting reform.
