  1. Reform – we should put British people first.

Reform also – we should spend £75,000 on flags rather than look after British people.

This idea by Reform is performative politics – in a way I’m glad they’ve picked up control of a few local authorities. In just about every place where they are running councils they have been shown themselves up by being fundamentally unserious. There’s more to government that these sort of stunts.

  2. Now make a meme on diversity spending every year.

    1 diversity officer is 90k /year

If flags make people feel included in government, let them have it. LGBT, Gaza get the same treatment.

  3. Definitely not the worst but terrible nonetheless.

  4. Reform led Kent County Council (KCC) told residents to remove flags so they can put up Christmas lights. Two things:

    1. They remove flags and are no longer patriotic. What do they have against the flag? Their argument, not mine.

    2. They keep the flags up and forgo Christmas lights. What do they have against Christmas? This is a Christian country. Again their argument, not mine. Although, their actions haven’t been very Christian, not very Jesus-like.

Let’s ‘av it! Taking back ‘are’ streets.

  5. Mate, they spend 100k just to decorate roundabouts. This is nothing.

  6. A Google search says that NCC has a budget of approximately £668,000,000 and with expenditure of £75,000, this will account for 0.0112% of their overall budget. In other words, they still have 8,905 different sets of £75,000 to feed people with.

  7. Love it. It’s what the people who voted for them deserve.

    Hungry-Eat a fucking Flag!
