More attritional warfare here. Gilley with a fine spell, but Davis is resilient and the action swings his way.

A body shot seems to really drain Gilley, and Davis pours on punches!

Gilley clinches, trying to stem the tide. The pair eventually separate, and Gilley mounts some offence of his own.

But this has been a worrying round for the Spurs fan overall.

This fight is finely poised heading into the final three rounds… but Davis has the momentum for sure.

Gilley is bleeding slightly from the nose; how will his breathing hold up in the final rounds?

Clever combination punching from him, however, to keep this round close.

Davis may be slowing slightly; Gilley seems to think so anyway, and he starts to press the matter now.

This is so entertaining now.

Davis with a powerful combination, some stern uppercuts in there, but Gilley smiles and nods before retorting. Hard shots from the Spurs supporter, too.

Gilley is warned for another foul, and as the action resumes, Davis reallllly lets his hands go! Those uppercuts are doing wonders for him.

Gilley is tough, but his head is snapped back in a close-range exchange! He throws back anyway, using uppercuts of his own.

He leans against Davis now, wearing on him as Davis is backed against the ropes.

As they separate, Davis finds a right hook. Gilley responds with a left hook to the body (which might have been low… no complaint from Davis, though) and a right up top!

This is getting physical now. Both men land then clinch, before trading more blows after separating.

Both men land jabs, and Davis follows up with a solid right hook. Again a right from him.

Slick change of levels from Davis, who goes low to high.

Gilley leans to his left and veers straight into another right hook. Davis is dialling up the pressure now. Still, Gilley presses forward in a bid to arrest momentum.

Davis stands southpaw now. He switches back to orthodox and comes forward, a right cross narrowly missing.

Gilley’s left eye is showing some swelling. Oh, but he buries a right uppercut into the ribs of Davis, then lets go with a flurry in the corner!

Nice end to the frame by Gilley, but surely a Davis round.

Gilley with a positive start to the third round, but Davis comes back, a body shot setting up a combination upstairs.

Gilley, to his credit, is still boxing on the front foot. He leans off the centre line to throw a left uppercut to the body, but it lands low.

Davis takes a moment to recover, but not too long.

Gilley comes forward, splitting the guard with a jab then unfurling a long right hook to the body. Good stuff.

Davis throws an overhand but Gilley moves backwards to evade the worst of it. Both men land in a clinch, with Gilley warned for targeting the back of the head.

Another Davis overhand doesn’t quite land flush. Gilley looks hesitant to throw at the moment.

But now he jabs and then lets go with a combination, with a hook upstairs the pick of the shots.

Davis almost leans onto an uppercut by Gilley; is that a habit Gilley’s team saw during camp?

Both men stand orthodox. Gilley presses forward early on. Davis lands a cross to the belt line, then a right hook.

A Gilley jab splits Davis’s guard. Now another, and a pawing hook.

Gilley continues to hold the centre of the ring. Nice jab by Davis to deter him momentarily.

Gilley jabs then throws an uppercut to the body as Davis crashes forward. Davis with a cross to the body after they separate.

Not tons to separate the pair in that round, but Gilley maybe edging it with activity.
