Germany slams door on Ukrainian men fleeing war

1. And here I thought Germany stands with the term “Refugees welcome”? They invited millions of men into Europe with their stance. And now, suddenly it’s a problem? Not the first time Germany and Russia are on the same page, but it’s kinda funny. Ukrainian men bad. Men responsible for new year in cologne gut

   Well, if Putin should be stupid enough to attack a NATO country, I hope our neighbours will also send back every man between 18 and 60 years to Germany.

   If you’re not okay with that just leave the country NOW, get another citizenship and never come back.

7. Guess “saving Ukraine” is just about that. Saving the state and not Ukrainians.

8. I feel for young Ukrainians, but this is their battle. 

   A lot of European countries are undergoing a recession at the moment and there are not enough jobs to go around for the local populations. Young Ukrainians will only make this job crisis worse. 

   Sweden needs to do the same, the economic outlook there looks super grim and these young Ukrainians are only going to jump to the next best country in the EU that will leave the door open for them if Germany shuts the door.

   and for non-Russophobic Europeans, this conflict is just, ‘a Slavic civil war’. 

10. Tangential, but Ukraine’s treatment of men has been downright atrocious. They’re ambushed on the streets to be shipped to the frontlines against their will.

    If the conscription and suspension of rights to protect the state are seen as regrettable yet acceptable, why does it only extend to one half of the population?

    Why are men made slaves and barred from escaping while women can leave as they please?

    The lack of condemnation of this systematic sexism makes me think this is exactly how the other countries in the western world would act when push comes to shove.
