I grew up on fantastic Bulgarian players. Trifon Ivanov🫶, Letchkov, Berbatov, etc. Your team from 1994 is still one of my favorite. I’m sad to see how the team performs nowadays.

  4. Short answer: too much corruption, too much incompetence, too much nepotism and dirt – also by some on the photo above.

  7. The players from the 1994 team took charge and made sure we will not have another great team in their lifetime.

  9. 1994 was an exception. The national team never had a win at a world cup before. So basically the team is as it has always been now.

    It basically destroyed the country. The levels of corruption everywhere are astounding.

    This is the logical conclusion when a place in the team is not on merits and talent, but based on whether you can afford to pay your way to the spot.

  21. Corruption and шуробаджанащина (I won’t even try to translate this word) on all possible levels in the country for the past 30 years lead us here. Our country is on the verge of collapse.

  22. Corruption. BFS is exactly the same toilet as the Bulgarian government. Corrupted people sat on top for decades, ruining the team and the clubs to the ground. And they will continue to do so, uninterrupted.
