I feel like nobody else on the planet cares as much about this as these two men and their fragile egos do.
Harry’s announcement was very infelicitously timed
Who cares? Seriously! Harry is not a working royal , what does it matter where he goes? No one cares
It’s Harry who keeps briefing the media though about this via people magazine. It’s unfair to make it seem like William is engaging with it, unfortunately I think he washed his hands off of Harry a long time ago. Harry continues to fight a one sided battle he created himself.
Ugh, who cares? Prince William is a working royal, with an entire press corps to hype his causes. Prince Harry has press following him only to get whatever snippet of drama they can. They don’t operate in the same spheres of news anymore.
LOL Harry who claimed his family briefed against him to the British media (which they probably did), then did a “freedom flight” to escape and do his own thing, is now updating the palace on his movements. So guess he’s not overly concerned about them knowing what he’s up to, although the palace probably doesn’t give a rip at this point what Harry does.
The royals and their staff constantly brief against each other. I don’t know why people act like one side is completely innocent.
Also, Harry is not a working royal, so maybe it’s time to ask the media/royal rota to stop covering him as if he still represents the UK.

As for doing it just as William started his first engagement in Brazil, I said it back on the day it happened, H&M released their Netflix trailer just as W&K landed in Boston for Earthshot, Omid Scobie then confirmed in his book that it was an intentional choice (not that confirmation was needed)
Earthshot’s date is announced months in advance and every single time Harry pulls something, it’s obviously intentional

Hi! American here, so there’s much nuance I don’t understand about Royals admittedly, but I find all the pageantry and prettiness of the Royals lovely (plus I am a huge history fan).
It seems weird how many stories from both camps are coming out about specifically this one thing. It really seems like both sides are like doubling down because they think they have the receipts.
Does anyone think it is possible that both sides are right? Like Harry’s team did send a note about his accepting doing that Canada thing and that the Royals people didn’t get it? Like if someone in Harry’s team changed, their email wasn’t known and it was not believed or went to junk. Or the emails changed on the Royal side while someone was out on maternity/paternity, or in the hand off between people involved it could have been dropped in either camp? It isn’t very common in my work for comms to drop and tasks miss deadlines or get forgotten, but it does happen.
I totally see the perspectives that media content does sometimes seem to be obvious leaks way to close to the main people and there are emotional undercurrents of hurt feelings that are unresolved (which, side note, just makes me sad that a family cannot come to the kitchen table and talk it out, own their responses, share their vulnerabilities – but honestly this is so common in many families, so not trying to judge, just sad about it).
Anyway, this one just seems different, like the history between the parties is causing both sides to think ill of the other, but maybe it was literally just a mistake? I mean how would one even prove the absence of an email without showing all their emails, which just seems like something they could never do realistically to prove to an outsider. Does anyone else think that?
I am sure there is something obvious I am missing as an American.
I don’t get who is stirring the pot with this story but William’s annual Earthshot Prize has been planned a while back so dates would have already surfaced; Harry was always doing something for Remembrance Day since his exile. If the awards date was already announced and Harry had activities planned ahead too, both events would be immovable.
Why would BP or likely, KP be shocked? Are we going to expect this “email the advance itinerary” story every time when Earthshot and Remembrance Day season comes around?
And what is the relevance of still keeping this story alive a week later?
Poor Harry can’t seem to escape the media’s constant attention to even the most mundane details, like his itinerary as a non-working royal against the perceived future king. Brother against brother is newsworthy for some.
Well this week hasn’t been good for the Sussexes in terms of truth telling. First the non-existent consent form at the Bezo party and now whether or not they actually did what they said they did in terms of a courtesy notification. Their reps have been asked for proof of the notification – whether a call or email – and they haven’t responded to journalist so we can assume it didn’t happen. They’re getting it from both sides this week and it will be interesting to see how they respond. I am especially interested in any clap-back to the K family.
From the beginning, Harry’s team’s announcement that they would share his schedule with BP was hilarious in in self-importance. Did he think any working royal would schedule their engagements to avoid conflicting with his? He represents nothing and no one other than himself anymore. To place himself and his work on the same level as the working royals is ridiculous.
I don’t even know what the purpose of keeping this current story going, unless it’s to try to take people’s minds off the Kardashian kerfuffle. I can’t imagine William gives a toss about Harry’s trip to Canada.

Harry went to a birthday party and overshadowed the entire British Royal Family. A birthday party got more press than the entire family. A birthday party.
Harry has no reason to lie. William is salty Harry’s endeavors eclipse his. Forcing your brother to stay home so you can have your photo in the papers is unhinged.
