   In 2019, NABU found proof that Poroshenko’s close friend, Oleg Gladkovsky, was linked to a huge corruption scheme.

   Zelensky used this information in his election campaign, explicitly and repeatedly saying, that “If a close friend of a president is linked to a corruption scheme, president should resign.”

   Oh, how tables have turned.

2. In the wake of Euromaidan, he was the worst option: a hardline Ukrainian nationalist unwilling to give any autonomy to the Donbas, helping Putin and his rebels justify their aggressive actions against Ukraine. Poroshenko was also a neoliberal.
