Islamabad (TDI): The Embassy of Poland celebrated its Independence Day with a vibrant blend of sport, diplomacy, and cultural camaraderie at The Club at Eighteen, transforming the scenic greens into a meeting ground for international goodwill.
The event drew an impressive gathering of diplomats, dignitaries, and business leaders, underscoring the growing role of sports in fostering global connections.
More than 30 golfers took to the course, joined by over 150 guests who came to commemorate Poland’s national day in an atmosphere that balanced competition with celebration.
Diplomats from various countries attended, making the tournament one of the most notable diplomatic sporting occasions of the year.

Organizers highlighted that the event reflected the shared values of unity, friendship, and mutual respect; principles central not only to the game of golf but also to the spirit of international diplomacy.
The competition showcased exceptional talent across multiple categories. In the Strokeplay Gross category, Pham Hong Quang secured first place with a commanding performance, followed by Ibrar Khan in second and Trevor Grainger in third.
The Strokeplay Net category saw Yumiko Akamatsu emerge as champion, while Thanakon claimed the runner-up spot and Lorraine Van Der Gracht finished in third place.
Special contests added excitement to the afternoon. Atadjan Movlamov powered his way to victory in the Longest Drive competition, while precision earned Imtiaz Zaidi the award for Closest to the Pin.

The Ladies Division also saw impressive play: Salza Dure Falak was honored as Best Lady, with Marilina Armellin named runner-up.
The festivities concluded with a prize-giving ceremony that celebrated both athletic excellence and the symbolic significance of the day. Guests applauded the winners, but the broader sentiment focused on the sense of community and shared celebration that defined the event.
