  1. Oh, like it’s the first time?

    Both Obama and Clinton went to coal country and told them the truth that coal was an industry that was never going to be what it was 100 years ago. They promised to invest in the area and offer job retraining to help transition communities devastated by the loss of coal jobs into more modern industries.

    Trump came in there and said, “MAKE COAL KING AGAIN!!!” and they flocked to him. Coal jobs continued to decline during Trump’s first term.

  2. The guy literally told everyone who voted for him that he doesn’t need them. He just needs their votes! They gave Trump their votes freely and with ambition because they thought he was going to go after the evil libs. What a fucking joke of a political party. Full of sadists and liars.

  10. Trump keeps blaming clean air regulations when in fact coal is not economically competitive regardless of regulations (which historically are lax in Red states anyway). The orange carnival barker tells people what they want to hear: That Obama guy caused your pain. People want to hear lies that align with their perceptions, and simple fixes. They get what they voted for. Lies.

  11. I think with about 5 minutes of objective research you could figure out that Trump is a truly horrible person. So I can imagine some people are busy and tired… but I can’t imagine not having 5 objective minutes to research who is going to have power.

  15. Ive gotten so tired of the same people needing to hear the same warnings three four five times and still not listening.

    At this point I dont feel sorry for them, dont even feel like gloating. Because they did this to themselves and because of it many of them are likely going to die or go bankrupt. All I can do it just look and go “hrm. Ok then”

    He sold them lies, because they are susceptible to it, and wanted to believe those lies. They *chose* to believe those lies. Everyone was telling them otherwise.   34. Democratic politicians have ran on replacing coal mines with tech jobs. How many of them have the miners elected?
