  1. If a large number of companies that attracted investment based on spurious valuations were to fail, it could lead to a huge loss of faith in the US tech startup ecosystem, potentially damaging the ability of venture capitalists to attract investors for future projects. And that would be bad.

People need to understand that using investors’ money to set entire industries ablaze in the name of ‘disruption’ is The American Way.

  2. he is just upset that after he ran Yahoo and Google into the ground there will be nothing left to run into the ground after the bubble pops. AI replaced his into the ground running business!

  3. Yeah , No shit . It feels like a good majority of the tech industry has pushed their chips in on this and praying it pays off and if it does not , oooh boy we might be looking at a great depression level event .

  4. This is the man who ruined Google Search (made it frustrating to use so that users have to enter more searches, thus increasing KPIs). This highlights that Silicon Valley stopped producing things of value that meet consumer demand, with investments predicated on bubbles and an AI ecosystem that simply cannot—with mathematical certainty—generate a profit or achieve “generative AI.” (If the latter is somehow possible [dubious], neither the compute nor the capital to develop the compute for it exist).
