29. I once got really interested in symbols and representation. The idea that we have arabic numerals is really weird.

    “Greek letters and arabic numerals” is what id always heard.

    But rhe greek alphabet seems no more like ours than the arabic one. And both of those are most like the phonecian one if any point of origin should be made noticeable.

    And the numerals? Those 1-9 seem to go back all the way to some indian roots, the 0 is wht the arabic tradition added, it seems to me.
