I like that type of snow: large flakes and no real wind. Cool for back lit night photography!
I got to see a little out my window this morning! Some of the flakes were even the big, chunky kind that likes to stick. Sadly, didn’t last long enough to even be noticeable on the ground. Happy to see it anyway.

Hahaha for thousands of years it never snowed in London…till 2025..

Many years ago we were in Bangkok and got talking to a saffron-robed priest. He loved practicing his English and was very excited because he was visiting the UK the coming January.
“January?!?!?!” we said, “It’s horrible in January; cold, grey and miserable.”
“I know!” he said, “That’s what is so exciting! I’ve lived in Bangkok all my life and I’ve never been cold.”
I hope he enjoyed his visit, but I’m guessing the novelty of being cold and damp wore off pretty quickly.

It’s too wet for it to settle today, but I still find it quite magical watching it fall.

London shut due to 1mm of wet snow causing multiple pile ups on major roads.
