[Royal Style Highlight] Olori Atuwatse III, wife of the Olu of Warri Kingdom

Note: The Warri Kingdom is located in present day Nigeria and is one of the many royal families in the country at the moment. Several of them have semi-official roles and don't receive official royal appanages the way the British do.

I think they receive some funding but their activities are mainly self funded with support and acknowledgement from the local, state and federal government. They have no constitutional role but aren't like the greeks, french and italians who have been kicked out.

All are like the Romanian royal family and are still well respected by their tribes and clansmen. They are considered representatives and custodians of their culture and many serving politicians will attend their events if invited. Infact its expected that someone representing the governor of the state/province will attend royal events and its expected that representatives of the royals attend state/province events.

Nigeria also has 36 states plus a capital and each state has several royal families of different tribes like the Alaafin of Oyo, Olubadan of Ibadan (same state/province but Alaafin outranks the Olubadan for historical reasons), Ooni of Ife, Oba of Lagos, Oba of Benin etc.
