Stupid question from an incompetent person: Ukrainian radars remotely detect the planes that then launch the missiles. Wouldn’t it be possible to send F-16s or other fighters to destroy these bombers on Russian soil?

Scared to say… But the sound of the cruise missile is nice… Of course, the sound of it exploding in the air due to a direct hit of the F-16 is better. But still… Does the flamingo makes the same sound?

Question: can a cruise missile do evasive manoeuvres to avoid getting shot down by a fighter jet that is in hot pursuit? Or is it like shooting a sitting duck for the F16?
