Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) estimates shows that the actual unemployment rate in Latvia was 6.8 % in October 2025. It has reduced by only 0.03 percentage points over the month and increased by 0.1 percentage points over the year.
The unemployment rates for both women and men have remained unchanged at 5.7 % and 8.0 % respectively.
In October, there were 65.7 thousand unemployed persons in Latvia, which is 0.3 thousand fewer month-on-month and 3.3 thousand more year-on-year.
The number of unemployed men has declined by 0.1 thousand month-on-month, reaching 38.1 thousand, and the number of unemployed women has reduced by 0.1 thousand, reaching 27.6 thousand.
The unemployment rate registered with the State Employment Agency (SEA) was 4.7 %. It has not changed month-on-month and reduced by 0.4 percentage points year-on-year.
