Glaze ice is present on many roads around the country, and motorists are urged to check conditions before setting out and to drive carefully.

This is stated in an announcement on the Icelandic Road and Coastal Administration’s website, which notes that roads in South Iceland, Southwest Iceland, Northeast Iceland, East Iceland, and the Eastfjords are affected by slippery, icy conditions.

In the capital area, hidden patches of ice can be found even though the temperature is 3–4°C.
