  8. “special envoy Witkoff” – otherwise know as Trump’s best buddy, an unelected New York real estate guy with no background in geopolitics whatsoever and questionable morals.

    This “peace deal” gives many, many concessions to Russia, and weakens Ukraine, and we know Russia can’t be trusted not to cook up a reason to invade again once they’ve recovered.

    If this is the best the US can do then fuck them. They are no longer the arsenal of democracy, or leader of the free world in my eyes.

    I hope Ukraine say thanks but no thanks, but it’s up to them at the end of the day. They are losing their lives defending their country.

    If the US does pull the plug on support I want to see Europe step up further. We’ve had all the time in the world to get our houses in order.

  18. The only reason why trumpet wants to get a deal signed soon is because he wants to have a nobel peace prize. its nothing to do with resolving a war, just a trophy to his name that other presidents dont have.

  19. Will he give Ukraine the same type of deadlines that Trump gave Russia. 2 week deadline that turned out to be over a year since he became president elect.

  20. If he does this, that will probably open the gates for the baltics, Finland and the Nordic countries to go ham on sending Ukraine more stuff. They know it’s better to kill Russians in Ukraine than in their own countries, and since France has its own arms manufacturing they will absolutely sell more to Ukraine just to spite Russia for what going on in Africa. South Korea might also start pitching in due to the north getting training and whatever else. Not great but it will be a jab on the ass to help Ukraine win outright rather than billed Moscow. Now that they are ramped for war, Russia will just push in Moldavia or the baltics to keep from crashing, kinda like Germany in the late 30s.

  24. Trump desperately wants to be seen as the one who made peace happen between Ukraine and Russia, with complete disregard to how it happens, under what conditions and the fact that Russia is the aggressor and Ukraine is fighting the only kind of legitimate war, a defensive war.

    1) Trump didn’t do this earlier. EU has been working for months on a plan to support satellite imagery should the US stop.
    2) TACO 🌮 . He has no clue how to negotiate, if Ukraine says no or better yet passes a more ridiculous counter offer like Russian conceding Moscow, then Trump will give up in time.

  32. Is already approved NATO countries to send weapons to be purchased from U.S. and sent to Ukraine. U.S. doesn’t need to be directly sending them. This article is just stirring controversy.
