Looking to buy my first spark! I've gone too many winters without this fun little snow glider. Tried one for the first time last winter, and promised myself I'd get one this year to cruise around the neighborhood, trails, and make quick trips to the store.
What's your favorite spark, and why?

  1. I’m not sure where one would even aquire one, but my life has always included them. My favorite trips were always the one with my grandma who loved on this tiny island in the middle of nowhere. She had a small children’s size spark and we would sparke together to for example the Christmas market.

  2. depends on the snowcondition where you want to spark. If there normally is good snow (and not ice/asfalt) i would go for a spart with langrenn style skis underneath, they are a lot more conformable and fun… If i is a road where the conditions vary and you might his grus or asfalt i would go for the steel gliders

  3. An early victim of the climate change. Hasn’t production of them all but stopped? There hardly is enough cold weather to get them out before it’s mild weather again atleast south of Trøndelag… When disregarding that one horrible winter around 2010 or something.

  4. Rapp is the OG spark, everything else is a cheap knock-off.

  5. Rapp. Troll. Tarzan.

Sadly no production in Norway since 2020. Its all in Poland now.

  6. I like the old Rapp’s, like the one in the picture but bigger since they are more flexible and easier to steer.

My happiest memories are those where my friends fell and hit their tailbone on the skis, that was really funny.

My worst memories are falling and hitting my tailbone on the skis, also freezing my tongue to the bolts on the handle was pretty painful. Going full speed downhill and hitting a bare spot or gravel was interesting, sparks flying and then a sudden stop followed by pain in my stomach from hitting the handle.
