    Been shared here before and IIRC a couple of these were not Norwegian? Carlsen, Haaland and the rapey not-quite-prince certainly are, but otherwise not sure I recognise the others.

This phenomenon is described by Allen’s rule, which states that animals living in cold climates tend to have smaller apendages (ears, nose, etc.) than animals living in warmer climates. In other words, looking like your face got smashed with a brick helps protect you against the cold.
