"The fluffy pom-pom was taken in to Lower Moss Nature Reserve and Wildlife Hospital in Cheshire by someone who thought they'd found a hoglet – a baby hedgehog.
"On arrival it was discovered that the hoglet was in fact a "faux furry friend", a volunteer for the animal charity said. "Our hearts melted", the volunteer at the rescue, based in Knutsford, Cheshire, added."

The real truth here is that the hedgehog knitted a pompom and ran off into the night leaving it behind.

Yesterday I passed a massive brown bobble in the street, and I nudged it very very very gently with my foot just to make sure it wasn’t a hedgehog
