  7. I don’t mind the royals, neither strongly for or against, this has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth though, they obviously know enough to strip of his titles and duties but won’t report him.

    Young teenagers have been trafficked and raped and there’s a pretty strong feeling that he was part of it, they should do more to ensure justice for the kids

    To add a little more; yes this is damaging the royal family, could they have handled it better = damn right.
    The queen was in a unenviable position, it’s a mother protecting a son, she was in poor health too but still working at a rate that would shame others but the because the allegations are the nature of revulsion she should have read the room and said do one. She was still a human being as well as the sovereign and on this one decision she was acting as a parent rather than the sovereign. Most normal peeps don’t have remotely the same challenges

    Thing is the royals are far from perfect, they are people whom have had a life so completely removed from most other peoples existence that it’s difficult to even compare.
    Most of them utterly serve the people with a passion and devotion. The privilege they receive creates as many problems as it solves but they don’t really get that much of choice to live outside of that without utterly ex communicating themselves. No one gets to pick their family and the circumstances their born into.

    Then there’s randy andy, when the majority of those who actually know him say he’s an arrogant asshat at best you, a potential pedo involved with dodgy associates whom sex traffic at worst. You should believe them.

    The royals are also in an impossible position here.
    They basically devote their entire existence to being in the public eye, i imagine they value privacy for the little private time above all else

    i worry this is the crime andrew has committed to them, not his specific actions. It’s the negative press and the fear of losing privacy, the damage to the institution.

    The fella should be completely hung out to dry, exposed to the full extent of the law without any favouritism and reside in solitary confinement for the rest of his life if even half of the allegations are true.

    No humiliation is enough if he avoids justice. The highest levels of privilege should demand the highest levels of accountability.
    If you don’t do that you damage the wider institution, simple as.
