  4. In a normal area this would have led to the end of her political career, shunned by the voters.

  5. I commented on this story last week when she was going to resign and saw a few defenders of Aspire come out of the woodwork as apparently Labour weren´t managing the place to well previously.

    That may well have been the case but this situation is still ridiculous and I´m happy to call a shovel a shovel still.

    For context, I´m not a resident of Tower Hamlets but something tells me you should have better people than this representing your borough.

    Sabrina Khan should choose. Either move to Bangladesh and stand for its Parliament. Or remain in Tower Hamlets and remain as one of the Mile End councillors. She *cannot* do both.

  21. From the article it seems like she only told Bangladeshi media that she’d resigned? I’m guessing that was a lie, and she’s realised her campaign in Bangladesh isn’t going to go well given she lives in another country.

  24. Foreign dominated councils seem to.be horrifically corrupt. It contributed to Birmingham going literally bankrupt. They give themselves a fat paycheck and funnel money out of the area through funding when possible and lobby for their own countries.
