A Lamborghini belonging to a West London councillor has been pictured parking in disabled spaces at the council offices, apparently without a blue badge on display.

Hounslow Labour has told the Local Democracy Reporting Service (LDRS) it is investigating photos that show a light blue Lamborghini Urus SE SUV parked at Hounslow House civic centre in Hounslow, which belongs to Labour Hounslow Heath Councillor Farhaan Rehman.

The pictures relate to two separate instances where the car was parked in different disabled spaces. No finding of fault has yet been made against Cllr Rehman, and the Labour Councillor has not responded to requests for comment from the LDRS.

While the parking spaces are owned and managed by Hounslow Council, the local authority said it was a matter for Hounslow Labour. However if a general member of the public was caught parking in a disabled bay in the borough without a blue badge, it would be a matter for the council and they could face a fixed penalty notice of £160.

The Labour investigation comes only one week after the LDRS revealed that Hounslow Council had fined a single-mum and mental health nurse, Loretta Alvarez, £1,000 for ‘fly-tipping’ an envelope when her council bins were full. She told the LDRS that, if Cllr Rehman had parked in the bays himself without a blue badge, it would make her feel as if elected officials conduct themselves differently than other members of the public are expected to act.

She said: “It [would make] you think, there clearly is a hierarchy, [it would make me feel that] he thinks he can get away with it, and probably can because he’s a councillor. But me, a normal person, getting on, paying my bills, I’d have to pay that.”

Jack Emsley is the Conservative councillor for Chiswick Homefields. He told the LDRS he believes Cllr Rehman should be deselected as a Labour candidate ahead of the 2026 local elections, if he is found to have breached parking rules.

  1. If the fine is small enough it’s just the cost of parking. Make it scale up with wealth

  2. He seems to be competing with Tower Hamlets councillors for “who’s a bigger prick” award

  3. AHH Hounslow, the borough that has steadily become lazier and more corrupt over the past five years. This is the same council that is amending EHCPs, taking out any mention of specialist support, so that they don’t have to pay for disabled kids to go the best educational settings for their needs, and one of their local MPs ,(Seema Maholtra), voted for cuts to disability benefits.Them not caring about a disabled parking space is pretty on brand.

  4. Personally I wouldn’t do that with one of my many Lamborghinis

  5. How much do these councillors earn? Driving around in Lamborghinis

  6. Nothing new for Hounslow… The borough is as dodgy as it comes..

  7. Poor people adore rich people. Who votes for people like this? Poor people

  8. LBH needs a massive audit and areas like chiswick and kew bridge needs to get out from their lazy inefficient control

  9. I used to work at my county councils building and the head of the council had a rolls Royce parked there for months. Always made me think how much he was on if there an abandoned Rolls he didn’t care about

  10. How can that be a disabled bay? Concrete pillar and no extra room to open doors to allow extraction of legs to get out…. so pityful

  11. I assume we’re all of the same assumption that there’s no way a local councillor has a Lamborghini through legitimate means?

  12. Why does a London councellor have a Lambo anyway? When people are struggling why are they flaunting wealth that a lot of people don’t have. Wanker.

  13. A FPN of £160 is nothing to someone who can afford a lambo. All fines should be based off of a percentage of income, eg. 2/7 weekly income

  14. More importantly, how the hell is any councillor able to afford a Lambo!

  15. How is a flashy poser like this one identifying with Labour? That car is screaming “look at me, i’m the blonde botoxed side piece of a drug dealer” or “i do so much tax evasion/take bribes(?) i can but buy the priciest stuff i can”

Just keep it in your pants and drive some nondescript huge black Range Rover like the rest of them (or have 3 of them as you’ll need spares when the other 2 are in the garage for engine repairs)

  16. Fixed penalties are merely punishments on the poor, make the parking fine a % of the cars value or based on the insurance group.

  17. Why is the number plate censored?
Is a public garage not considered a public space?

  18. Labour really love strict rules for us but except themselves

  19. We live in a country where Michelle Mone can defraud the state of £122m, pay nothing and still live free AND with a peerage. Little wonder that a councillor with no other declared sources of income is driving a £200k car (and parking it illegaly) without any worry to be investigated.

It’s about time we started looking really hard at corruption in politics and, while we are at it, maybe reform the number, role and scope of councils within London.

  20. Councillor….. illegally parking….. Lamborghini …… shock horror 😱
