Hi everyone! I’m a licence plate collector in the UK, and I’d love to add a Norwegian plate to my collection. I know it can sometimes be difficult to get plates from Norway, but I figured I’d ask here in case anyone has a spare one they wouldn’t mind sending.

It doesn’t need to be in perfect condition. Used, faded, or worn plates are completely fine with me. I just enjoy collecting plates from different countries, and a Norway plate would be an awesome addition.

If anyone happens to have an extra, feel free to reach out. Thanks so much!

  1. it would be easier to get a replica plate then a real one. google it.

  2. You’re legally required to hand in old license plates to be destroyed (with multiple ways to choose from), so you won’t be able to obtain this legally.

  3. Not an easy thing to get from Norway. Plates here follow the vehicle, so if you sell your car they are transferred to the next owner along with the vehicle. And unless they are damaged or stolen, they are never replaced during the life of the vehicle. When a vehicle is scrapped the plates must be returned to the issuing authority, which will destroy them.

If someone offers to sell you a plate, there is a good chance they stole it off someones car.
