  1. Can’t be an enemy with a country that is on your own side.

  2. We’re more their size.

Let’s be honest. Russia knows its not a super power/potential super power  like the USA or China or even the EU.

It’s more on the level of a single western European nation.

  3. Let me guess… the switch happened around the same time Trump became US President?

  4. I don’t think they’ve ever really considered the United States and Britain has two separate countries. They have the concept of the “Russkiy Mir” or Russian word, that anywhere their language or culture is significant is really part of the same country. Therefore they consider the Anglosphere as a similar but rival entity.

I also think they watched James Bond films like they were documentaries instead of entertainment.

  5. Are they still going to blow up the North Sea with a mega nuke to level mainland Britain in a radioactive tsunami? cos if they do, I’d have to insist we nuke a portion of the moon large/small enough to crush russia under 3 miles of molten moon rock.

    neener nya nya

  6. The „Russia hates UK“ rabbit hole goes really deep and gets weird fast. Recently they have started publishing really badly written alternative history stories where the reader, an average Russian, gets sucked back in time and manages to prevent Britain from stuff like winning the battle of Trafalgar, just to come back to the present and seeing how in the new timeline, the UK has turned into a complete shithole (like Russia in reality) and how, in contrast, Russia is a glorious empire that controls all of eastern Europe and has access to an ice-free deep water port.

It’s essentially an incel‘s revenge fantasy against Chad where they get to sleep with the hot girls. Extremely pathetic.

  7. I believe it was when the US became their ally that this happened.

  8. We germans are jealous on the brits. We want to be the baddies for Russia!

  9. The problem is that older Russians get all of their news and information from the state, so their views are whatever the state says it is. Younger, more tech-savvy Russians have access to the www so they know the reality. However, even with their knowledge, they are scared to step out of line, or else the state will step on them. Russian state has wound the clock back to the Cold War era where people will grass on their neighbours to court favour.

It appears from the outside that Trump is trying to emulate this in the US. Given Putin has neutralised him with whatever he has on him, I would not be surprised if Putin assists him into a third term because as soon as Trump is gone, normal US Russian hostility will resume.

  10. Putin is a bald wee evil troll.that needs to be erased
