With Twitters latest update, it’s funny seeing most of the “Irish patriot” accounts all getting outed as Brits

  1. Maybe I’m missing something but wouldn’t this consider Northern Ireland as ‘Account based in United Kingdom’?

  2. Don’t you mean all of them? There seems to be only two accounts on X called Irish patriot are not Irish patriots for the US.

  3. Many Irish patriots live in the UK, because they leave Ireland at the first opportunity, then avow their solidarity from abroad.

  4. We’all also see shit like:

Turkish patriot – based in Germany

Algerian nationalist – based in France

  5. Not only Yanks are pretending to be Paddys, Interessing.

  6. They’re not Brits, they’re Irish who’ve moved to Britain and somehow become more nationalistic than they ever were before.

See also: Wings over Scotland the ultra nationalist scot….who has lived in Bath since 1985.

  7. I mean tbf

    1. If they live in Northern Ireland, which is part of the UK currently, this doesn’t really contradict anything. Plus how many Northern Irish nationalists would make a big point of distinguishing between the jurisdictions they live under

    2. It could be a vpn, bit then again, why would they choose the UK for that lol

  8. Most right wing social media propaganda is whipped up by bots and foreign actors

Remember when there was some event causing a major power outage in some country, it sent 40,000 accounts that regularly post propaganda offline.

  9. The amount of Irish in the UK, it could still be true. All of the Irish I’ve known here (and there’s a been a good few of them) all speak so highly of Ireland. All of them were very clear they would never go back though. Huh…

  10. Dumb question, but what would somebody posting from NI show as?

  11. Maybe they just moved to Ireland?

The difference between the 2 gets smaller the more multicultural they become as their own cultures get diluted anyway
