I went on a combat course, the Russian f*cker caught me and launched a missile from 45 km, then you see everything on the video, I receive commands from the ground where the missile is and the plane, that illuminates it, is relative to me.
Then “light” maneuvering, on top you can see how easily the overload changes at such speed.
> If you take the video, at least put a link to the channel 😒
**Source:** TG channel AIR_FIGHTER
**Upd:**
You can actually read the instruments there:
– **Speed:** 900 kmph (485 knots/559 mph)
– **Alt:** 100 m (328 ft)
– **Overload:** 5g
Heart rate above average
Those Ukrainian Mig-29s and the people who fly them are fucking legendary. They have no business still contesting the skies after nearly four years against the entire Russian Air Force. They’ve bodged together new armament interfaces, retrofitted weaponry and learned tactics to survive against firepower that would absolutely give an F-22 or F-35 pilot a reason to change underwear.
And they’re still up there.
Where’s their fucking Top Gun movie? Shit put Tom Cruise in it if you have to to get it made I don’t care at this point.
Say what you like about Russian hardware but the MiG 29 is one heck of an agile jet.
Hell yeah.. this man got them low flying skills… GOD TIER ACE TOP GUN!!!
this one comes right next to the guy who ejected his hit jet
probably a dumb question, but why is there a rear view mirror?
that’s a lot of work on that stick to keep it from hitting the ground! You can see RWR flashing every now and then and his fuel consumption in real time. Code brown for sure
What are those electronics that have been digitized in the video? I saw a stowed mig once here in America that was missing that instrument as well as the one just to the left. I assumed it was something that civilian aircraft are forbidden to have, but was always curious about it.
God damn being a fighter pilot has gotta be one of the coolest jobs on the planet.
Beem watching VTOL VR gameplay the past few hours. Seeing real footage from the cockpit just fucked with me.
I lost a few pounds, just watching this. Then, if you do this for real, while training with a jet fighter it’s quite impressive. But doing this in a war zone, killing and fighting for your life, while pulling Gs and distributing your attention to flying, acquiring targets, monitoring incoming missiles… now that’s something impressive!
That’s some real pucker factor there.
kinda cool to see real life pilots doing maneuvers ive seen people do in DCS all the time to avoid missiles lol
Fuck man id be such a good fighter pilot I swear…lmfao. I should get a vr headset ASAP.
Western components all over the interior, leveraging russia’s fuckup of focusing on agility in a BVR era, just kinematically throttling the fuck out of a russian wonderwaffen long range air to air missile.
that hardbass in the background is a nice touch
Damn crazy cockpit view.. they need those rafales and gripens with meteors so they can blow those bastard Ruskies up at 100km
I know this is super serious and incredibly life threatening and I have a ton of respect for anyone who puts their life on the line in this manner, but I also can’t help but wonder if this is strangely exciting for them to do.
The only role in a military that actualy looks fun.
I’d have to be on speed to react and handle the aircraft at that speed. Being a fighter pilot has never crossed my mind as something I’d ever want to do. Plus, I liked being a dumb-dumb grunt anyways: 99% being bored or getting fucked around. 1% pure mad chaos.
I teach motorcycle safety on a naval air station every once in a while (I’m usually on a different base) and the pilots will often fly over our range doing drills. Sometimes I’ll think to myself, “damn, I’d love to be doing that right now”. But to them, it’s just work. I wonder if they’re looking down at us thinking “dang, I wish I was riding motorcycles right now”. But after watching this vid, no, they’re having the time of their lives up there.
Keep it up Ukraine! I know that’s not what he wished he was using his skills for right now, but I bet you he’s pumped that he’s getting some fly time in.
more like “Ukrainian pilot is wandering through the countryside at low level to post a vid on the socials”.
So, the Russian plane shot the missile from 28 miles away? Man, all you ever see in the movies is dog fighting but it’s kind of crazy to imagine a kill shot from so far away. It’s also always kind of wild that multimillion dollar fighter jets have basically the same inside rear view mirror that automobiles have always used.
