Meghan graduated from Northwestern University, she’s allowed to wear the sweatshirt of her alma mater.
So beyond creepy and weird. Diana looks relaxed, the way Meghan is sitting just looks awkward.
This is a pretty generic picture. If they were inspired, I’m for it. This is like wearing her jewelry for me. It’s a nice callback. It’s copying her fashion that is weird for me

Did anyone from Harper’s Bazaar say Diana was the inspiration? That pose is very basic.

I’ve read Harry’s book, I’ve watched the Netflix documentary. It’s clear he has mummy issues and very much aligns himself with his mother.
Meghan has played into this hugely. By claiming the media were indirectly threatening her life. By insisting she’s being hounded while simultaneously setting up alleged pap walks. Harry is living out his trauma, with Meghan playing the role of his mother except this time he gets to save her.
So this is really weird and creepy.
It’s like watching their dysfunction play out publicly. Icky, but you can’t help but look.

Seriously people see what they want. Google “Kate Middleton dresses like Diana”. Some are indeed bang on, others it’s a real stretch. They do it with Meghan too. And both women wear jewelry associated with Diana especially, obviously, Kate.
Kate wore the pearl earrings that Diana wore to Harry’s christening to either the Sussex wedding or Archie’s christening. She dressed George in Harry’s baby clothes on occasion. Does that mean she’s obsessed with Harry?
Magazine shoots don’t have inputs from the subject. The editorial team selects clothes on what Meghan should wear. Also, the magazine selects the photographer and in turn, they dictate the poses. I think the photographer had some inspiration from Diana’s photographs but I don’t think Meghan set these terms. Because why would a highly creative person try to copy another famous person’s body of work unless they wanted to be deliberate with it? This is the photographer’s own call.
I seem to recall H and M wanted to get a away from publicity and live quietly…?
So how does this constant publicity seeking help?
Hey Hollywood etc can you stop taking pics of people with their bare feet in the foreground? Feet are gross. Thanks.
Lots of celebs do this pose for magazines. I’ve seen Bella Hadid do this same pose for a shoot and Bella was also wearing a white shirt and black pants during that shoot. Meghan wears this kind of style and black and white a lot

What made this photo of Diana so famous was that it was in the style of a fashion/magazine shoot vs the normal photos taken of Royals. It’s a super common pose.
Because she has no personality of her own, she just mimicks others
I saw the behind the scenes video and she gave many different expressions. Of all things, I wonder why the editors chose the smirk for this one?
