  1. Why is no one asking mr farage and his Brexit friends this question. Ohh and when is the sunny uplands coming. And all the laws we couldn’t make whilst in the eu.

  2. Things like Brexit happen when another country controls your govetnment.

    You Yes Yet?

  3. > New analysis by the House of Commons library estimates that Brexit is costing the Treasury up to £90bn a year in lost tax revenue, and the average Briton has seen a hit to GDP per head between £2,700 and £3,700.

… lots more details (none of which are great) …

    > The Treasury declined to comment.

  4. Wow, just think how bad it would have been if we hadn’t been holding all the cards

  5. So just to be clear, the very people that were telling you migrants were and are the issue (total cost to the UK approx. 4.7 billion net annually) blew a 90 billion hole in tax revenue with Brexit.

Meanwhile the UK Tax gap sits at about 45 billion annually, the majority of which is caused by large businesses and the wealthy, and is rarely (if ever) discussed by the right leaning UK press.

As someone said, its super yachts not rubber dingys that are the problem.

  6. Yet SNATs will continue to use the same logic to promote independence/Brexit 2.0.

  7. Just an all round shitshow economically.

The fact the Carling guzzlers, who are primarily concerned about non white immigration and boat crossings, have made this significantly worse with Brexit is the cherry on top.

They have no idea about the Dublin convention lol

  8. Must be them immigrants fault thr economy is bad. Can’t possibly be the idiotic mistakes we’ve made as a country

  9. I almost feel sorry for all the folk that find themselves having to defend/deflect from the impact of Brexit.

All because they’re frightened of having our decisions made in Edinburgh rather than London.

  10. Another outstanding decision by the English parliament.

I wasn’t pro-independence before Brexit as I didn’t see the EU letting us in (too many vetoes). Now why wouldn’t you assuming the EU is friendly to the notion.

  11. Why are we still swallowing this shite!? FFS just admit it was a fucking disaster and reverse it!

  12. It is awfully quiet here. Why are the Usual Suspects hiding?

  13. ‘That was a disaster…but let’s leave the EU and the UK”.

Pretty much sums up the independence talk, which is totally fine but don’t ignore or downplay how bad it would be in at least the short term.

  14. Oh look we found the cause of that there black hole I wonder what it was…

  15. Yoons will always struggle with this. Their pro-UK campaign lied and their lies resulted in Scotland being torn out of the EU against our will.

Indy corrects all of this and I do remember many yoons in the aftermath of the brexit betrayal claiming they were now supportive of an independent Scotland.

  16. What a waste.

We should at the very least join EFTA or have an EEA style customs arrangement.

  17. I find it funny how Indy supporters seem happy for the country to take financial hit in exchange for gaining independence yet have a massive problem with Brexit causing the same thing. For the avoidance of doubt I think Brexit was a huge mistake and the benefits will never outweigh the costs.
