  1. What’s more infuriating is that the mainstream media uses these fake accounts as sources. They don’t bother verifying things anymore before publishing them.

  2. After Twitter allowed users to see where accounts are based, it turned out that tons of right-wing white-supremacist and pro-Israeli accounts are actually run by Indians or Pakistanis. Many accounts claiming to be Palestinians living inside Gaza also turned out to be Pakistani. And surprisingly, many supposedly Indian left-leaning accounts that claim to fight bigotry and Hindu nationalism are actually operated by Pakistanis or Bangladeshis, who have now edited their location to “South Asia” instead.

  3. Isn’t that like Fox “news” exposing misleading comments?

  4. Doesn’t matter what the topic is, the fact X pays for engagement means everyone’s just gonna gravitate towards posting the hottest ragebait shit of the week

  5. I have a question about this, or well multiple, but I can’t seem to really find an answer.

So pro-Palestine folks are going nuts about this and calling it misinformation by IDF and making fun of them for “not knowing what a VPN is”. But does Israel control the mobile network in Gaza? And if so, wouldn’t they know if the devices ping from a different location and easily confirm where it’s at?

Then there’s the other side of this, that some of the journalists in Gaza immediately said that the accounts are operated by their family members who could be somewhere else entirely. But isn’t Gaza supposed to be a place you can’t leave?

Edit: I forgot to add a question I had – I’ve also seen some say that Gaza gets SIM cards by smuggling or some other way, but to me this seems a bit out there.

Genuinely curious since a lot of this doesn’t really make a lot of sense to me.

  6. It is kind of funny that the Israel Palestine beef on Twitter is literally just Indians vs pakistanis

  7. Isn’t it also possible they’re using a VPN? I’m sure some of them are fake. But if you were actually in Gaza saying anything that might anger Hamas or Israel I’m guessing you’d want to hide your location.

  8. This shit is so hilarious to me. It’s literally just Indians and Pakistanis beefing on twitter. Like half the pro Israel accounts and shit are all based in India and the pro Palestine ones are all based in Pakistan.

  9. Indian spam is out of control. over 50% of all traffic is indian spam. Not to mention all the scammers from that region.

  10. Can I ask people here: it seems you are all content in the circlejerk. How about get out of your comfort zone and share this stuff in other , less Israel friendly subs? There’s tons of them… Seriously asking.

  11. Did anyone catch what “BreakThrough News” location was? They’re all ex employees of RT News pretending to be “on the left”

  12. What I wouldn’t give for reddit to this and see the r/ conservative sub absolutely lose it’s marbles at realizing they’ve been circle jerking with foreigners the whole time.

  13. Just cut the damn cables already and isolate India and Pakistan.

  14. The comment section comparing the Israeli social network footprint to that of pro p is hilarious
