Illinois has few remaining wetlands. A Trump administration proposal could decimate what’s left.

1. I’ve never seen so many ducks and geese – until I lived in Illinois. they’re migrating north and south and always such a spectacle to see.

   I’ve posted it before regarding actually being able to save wetlands and the cost of mitigating, permitting and just dealing with all the red tape

   Polluting the wetlands will still be illegal

   I can more into it again if anyone would like to know how the clean water act is actually hurting protecting the coast down here on the gulf

3. Reminder to all that Chicago and St. Louis areas were wetlands. When the German farmers came they tiled Illinois to make it farmable.

   Most (all) cities and towns are built where water was present. In some places, wetlands were also dammed to make civilization possible.

   Illinois is still flat. It doesn’t look like it once did at all.
