  1. ‘We voted for Brexit even though we were told it would screw us and the entire country and it DID. We must now protest for the government to shield us from the consequences we voted for by kicking the poors some more’

Edit: apparently everyone is very keen to point out #notallfarmers because it’s okay to say ‘a majority voted for Brexit’ when you’re defending it but not when you’re criticising it

  2. My reaction when I’m a multimillionaire who has to pay tax.

  3. The out of tune version of “sandstorm” that one tractor’s horn is making me feel homicidal.

Protest away, my muck spreading chums (don’t agree with the cause but I’m all for a protest) but if you’re going to use your horn to play a tune, MAKE SURE IT’S IN THE CORRECT KEY FFS.

  4. I used to work in Baker Street and these tossers drove past. Wild how noisy they are.

Oh noes, my kids *might* have to pay tax on something they have done nothing to inherit, at a much higher level then anyone else in the country might have to pay inheritance tax.

  5. I trust they will be arrested for blocking London’s roads while protesting, right…?

  6. This is an illegal protest btw, hope they’re as harsh on these as they are on grannies who don’t like oil and Israel

  7. Oh those “Just spot oil ” protesters are so bloody annoying. – Says the fella driving a 200k machine 200 miles just to piss off some londoners so Milie or George dont have to pay inheritance tax.

  8. I live in a very rural area, farmers are dickheads, trust me.

  9. Remove the ULEZ exemption for tractors and see how long this continues 🤣

  10. Almost as effective as just stop oil – the kgb really needs to get some new ideas

  11. Well that’s certainly one way to not get people to support your cause

  12. I hope it’s not the sound of red diesel being used on public roads. I’m sure every single one of these farmers drained the fuel tank before setting off on their “Why I can’t gift my farm to my children more than seven years before I die to entirely avoid inheritance tax altogether” protest.

  13. I’m hoping their congestion charge, ulez and parking goes up

  14. “Farmers” can get fucked. If there weren’t so many loop holes in farm inheritance then farm land wouldn’t be so expensive and they’d have an easier time growing their farm.

First voting for Brexit now opposing this, they really are forever turkeys voting for Christmas and it really shouldn’t be my problem that they’re so gullible.

I say “farmers” because I suspect this is mostly inheritance dodgers like Clarkson trying to protect their investments

  15. All the farmers I know are the biggest fucking whingers

  16. Dicks held me up on the motorway coming back from Devon the other month. Added at least an hour to an already long drive. Just pay your already preferential IHT.

  17. Guarantee it’s the same people who scream from the rafters when JSO or XR do this

  18. I thought blocking roads was the bad kind of protest…

  19. Why is it OK when farmers block the streets but not OK when Just Stop Oil do it?

  20. LMAO at all these shiny new tractors that have never done a single day in the fields.

This isn’t a farmers’ protest. It’s a “wealthy landowners who like to play at farming” protest. We already know that actual farmers aren’t going to be impacted by this in any meaningful way.

  21. I live near central London. Some of these cunts woke me up really early and terrorized my cats with their horns. I took 6kg of black cat to the stomach.

Can’t imagine what it’d be like if you’ve got a dog that’s not too keen on loud horns either.

  22. I thought we were locking up protesters? Or is it another area where farmers get special treatment? Like taxes

  23. Assholes when their very preferential treatment (which I don’t really have an issue with) isn’t preferential enough

  24. If one ambulance is slowed that’s murder (trial by tabloid)! See Extinction Rebellion haha

  25. FULLY support the farmers.

Farms are usually passed down to the next generation, it stays in their family. If their children can no longer inherit the farm without having to pay millions in tax, then they will either have to sell farming land or the whole farm completely.

That means less farms and British produced food!

Why does no one have any forward thinking.

Farmers work incredibly hard and are usually only asset rich. They get “paid” fairly averagely.

  26. No Ulez, do I need a license for that quite and fast luxury machine??

  27. Bunch of tax dodging cyunts. They always prattle about how farming never stops. Does it? Does it really?

  28. Does this actually change anything? I imagine it doesn’t impact MPs at all, they probably get a nice chauffeur driven ride straight out of town.
