  1. I mean, if every worker only works like about 3h a day anyway, you might as well send half of them home a couple days.

  2. Would I get the same 5 days off paid at the same time as my Susan for suffering blue balls? Equality innit

  3. Wonderful sentiment and meaning but this will not end well.

  4. 5 days off the 8 days worked per month, where 3 hours in the middle of the work day is a nap time also with early finish and late start.

  5. Every Pedro will now identify as a Latina.

    A voluptuous, big booty Latina.

  6. There was a lot of noise when this was approved by the usual suspects. The truth: you are only entitled if you have a medical leave issued by a doctor certifying that you are not fit to work.

Period pain (extreme abnormal ones) was already considered a reason for medical leave.

  7. Italy making it illegal to kill women, Spain paying salaries for period pain. You ok huns?

Edit: sorry, I didn’t know we weren’t doing jokes today.

  8. Ok so if I start jerking off blod do I also get medical leave? Double standards much

  9. Not every woman suffers period pain strong enough so that their work is affected but for those who do, this is not unreasonable. It says up to 5 days, so it could be less, and probably is for the ones diagnosed with conditions like PCOS. It’s about time we consider something that affects only women to the same level as we would for let’s say someone dealing with chronic migraines. (Edited to correct some mistakes I got triggered by this topic and I was writing so fast lol)

  10. Yeah, over here we still use those outdated sick leaves. As the reason why they are sick is none of our goddamn business.

  11. can I apply for it if my gf has period pain and I suffer for it?

  12. Pierre, this is your chance!

5 days a month, is 60 days a year, on a 40 year career that’s retiring 6 years earlier – and that is being generous to your employer.

Don’t forget to submit the invoice for any costs involved through your national debt to the usual address in The Hague that pays all the free beer for you.

  13. Isn’t this just the exact same thing as paid sick leave? Which is already a thing in decent countries? Imo they are behind on things if this is only happening now.

  14. The fact that their economy is growing faster than ours makes me so mad, yeah ok you work less, grow more and have better purchase power with your salary what else do you want Pedro? You want me to blow you while you pretend to work?

  15. In the Netherlands you just call in sick and you don’t have to give any reason so…

  16. I literally will go home because I have bad gas. Women ABSOLUTELY should get to stay home because their guts are shedding.

  17. This is old. The articles about covering *extemely* painfull period was added the 1th Jun 2023.

  18. I guess that’s a good thing but is there a reason to not just call i sick?

If there’s something health related, and i would classify stuff that causes pain as health related, i would just call in sick, gods know i have coworkers that call in sick for less and thats good. But then again i don’t know the laws in spain.

  19. Well, if you are sick, you should stay at home. It shouldnt matter, if you have crippling pain in the head, stomach, uterus or the pinky toe.

  20. We used to have that here in Portugal in Salazar time

  21. I am pretty sure this is already a thing in italy, like it might not be specifically for “period pain” but it’s pretty routine for doctors to give sick leave if you ask to and are unable to work

  22. If you were not well enough to work due to period issues (or other illneses) you had all the time off you needed before, so not really a change

  23. Lets be honest here. This is good but a lot of employers are gonna avoid women because of this.
