Hey everyone, Tom here AGAIN. Wanted to share some of the cool things we've got coming up in the Shoulder to Shoulder group.

Our community has grown to over 1,400 guys, and as part of that growth, we've appointed a group of Connectors – guys who really want to help support our growth by moderating the chats and creating their own events and meet-ups. These guys embody our values around connection in particular.

While our fortnightly Hyde Park walk and coffee is the heartbeat of the group, we have no less than seven events happening over the next fortnight set-up by group members that I wanted to share in case other Redditors might fancy joining. Some of these have a nominal charge but most are free. A pic of our first pilates class last weekend is attached, I'm still in pain!

Check out some of the member-led events happening soon:

  1. This is so cool and I’m commenting to push it up the page for those who need it.

If you ever have events that are open to women, sign me up. We all need more emotionally intelligent men in our lives. Best of luck!

  2. I’m busy tomorrow but pie and mash night sounds like such a vibe!! 😔😔😔

  3. I am not a man and I am not even from the UK, but I love this with my whole heart.

  4. im never going to attend one of these but these posts are really awesome. keep it up, need more of this in the world

  5. Now the racism in this sub makes sense, most of these community pictures are eye opening.

  6. Good stuff. These kind of groups are good support, and are great for sharing. I like the idea of a jellied eel and boxing night but I’m a bit different.

  7. This is such a great idea, I have actually just left london for a bit due to a breakup, but will defo be checking you guys out when i make it back.

  8. How long before certain misandrist women throw a tantrum and demand access to one of the few men’s only spaces out there and belittle the men for the issues they struggle with and laugh in their face when they feel lonley?

  9. Aah Manzes in Bermondsey. God i miss that place. Enjoy!

  10. You guys are great, it gives me hope to see blokes making things like this happen.

    Proud of you!

  11. Genuine question (not a troll, I promise) but is this very much a straight mens thing or are gay/bi/pan men welcome to?

I ask because it comes across very blokey (not an insult) and I don’t want to encroach in spaces not meant for me 🙂

There are many LGBTQ groups in London but they unfortunately and inevitably end up being focused on alcohol and hook ups; no matter how much they claim not to be. This seems like it could be a good place for genuine and actually platonic friendships

  12. Not sure if you need help from a data analyst but I love the vibe and would be willing to offer help if you need

  13. Have you thought about applying for funding through the National Lottery Fund’s Awards for All? You may not be eligible for much funding but you could give it a go!
