SS: Lee Hyo-jin reports in *The Korea Times* that Seoul has rolled out its largest-ever sanctions package against Southeast Asia based crime networks after a spike in scams, luring schemes, and kidnappings targeting Koreans, designating 15 individuals and 132 entities linked to operations in Cambodia and elsewhere, including the Cambodia based Prince Group and its chairman Chen Zhi for allegedly overseeing major scam compounds like Taizi and Mango, as well as other syndicate leaders tied to high-profile assaults and deaths; the measures freeze assets including virtual assets, block financial dealings in Korea, and impose entry bans, and they follow recent U.S. and U.K. blacklisting of Prince Group and U.S. labeling of China’s Huiyuan Group as a money-laundering concern, signaling that South Korea is now using financial coercion and international alignment to raise the cost for regional criminal hubs that exploit weak border governance and to defend its citizens and leverage in a worsening transnational crime contest. Â
