WANA (Nov 28) – Esmaeil Baghaei, spokesperson for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, strongly condemned what he described as the ongoing crimes committed by the Israeli regime in the West Bank, including the killing and torture of its residents.
Referring to the continued attacks by Israeli forces and settlers on Palestinian camps in Nablus and Jenin, targeted killings of Palestinians, arbitrary detentions of West Bank residents, and the destruction of Palestinian homes and farmland, the spokesperson called on the international community to pay urgent attention to what he labeled as brutal crimes taking place in this part of the occupied Palestinian territories.
Baghaei also cited reports from human rights organizations alleging the prolonged detention of hundreds of Palestinian children and the torture-related deaths of dozens of Palestinian detainees in Israeli detention centers and prisons.
He emphasized the responsibility of the international community — particularly the United Nations and the UN Human Rights Council — to address what he called gross human rights violations against Palestinians.
He further stressed the need to document each of these actions as crimes against humanity and to pursue the prosecution and punishment of those responsible.
