The brackets go between the outer and inner glass panels of the door. Constructa only offers a technician visit for €119 + repair costs, or a complete replacement door for €300+ (also currently not available). They also refused to say what adhesive to use, or even to repair if I bring the parts to Munich. We’re a student WG and would prefer not to spend much.

I’ve searched a lot, but most products are about gluing sealing ropes for ovens (that's the failed attempt in the picture). Other products are just sealants, or they’re not suitable for plastic, or they have no technical specs beyond “heat-resistant”. Hence the confusion.

Does anyone have experience/advice for an adhesive that works for glass-to-plastic for ovens? The plastic type of the bracket is in the images. Any help appreciated, even better if you have direct product-links. Thanks in advance.

  1. Uhu Endfest 300 is the best 2 component glue you can find in a store, like Baumarkt. The warmer the temperature during gluing is the stronger it gets, like 80 deg.

The data sheet says 210 deg. maximum.

Scotch weld I have used a couple of times, this stuff is like welding. 200+ deg. I got it off ebay cheaper. but you need a special tool for it, a 3m-clone you get cheap. You can use the scotch weld later for anything else.
