It is hard to believe that we have put up with it this far. Trump is so stupid and profoundly damaged. He brings so much shame to the office of the President, and so much shame upon our nation.
I think you’re underestimating the amount of Americans who are all in on the cruelty.

He was twice impeached the first time he was president, he was convicted of sexual assault of E Jean Carroll, he tried to overthrow the US government, has bankrupted businesses owing people money and yet all that and more he was re-elected as president a second time.
I doubt that the Maga brigade in Congress are going to uphold a third attempt at impeachment.

Trump is a reflection of America. A third of the population support this, another third is apathetic accomplices.
If we’re going by the previous time line we’re right around 1933 with power consolidation and the de facto elimination of the parliament. We‘re heading to 1934 which means to execute political opposition and purge the military while replacing leadership with loyalists. History books will show the orange Caligula to be a lesson on how not to run a country. He will, and should, be reviled. Every other president in our history has at least one positive thing that they did, though some of them were awful people. Trump is just awful without any accomplishment. He represents the worst of us. The best thing that could happen is his administration’s removal. Everything he has done has had a negative effect on our country and the world. He needs to be gone.
