  1. NATO has ordered several hundred Israeli-designed HERO attack drones, which will be produced in Europe by the German company Rheinmetall for over €100 million.

    The drones were originally created by Israel’s UVision, but are now built under license in Europe, mainly for Germany, with deliveries starting in 2026.

    The HERO family includes small to large loitering munitions, from the light 3-kg HERO 30 to the much heavier HERO 120 and HERO 400, each meant for different battlefield roles.

    These drones have already been used by the Israeli military.
