  1. Better organised than expected, but why did they not enter the life boats? That is the worrisome part here.

  4. Is it on or near the loading pier? That would be excellent as damage to the loading equipment be much a bigger problem for the RuZZianZ.

  21. It’s interesting that they can’t evacuate because all the equipment to evacuate is on the end of the ship that’s on fire. Imagine if the ship started sinking with how long they where on the deck.

  22. Googled it and a 20 year old 100k tonne tanker is worth around 30$m. good target and hope there are many more to come as Russia can no longer afford hundreds of millions on replacement tankers.

  27. It seems that most of the crew are from the Philippines which is common for maritime industry. Why pay good wages for crew to sit around for weeks at a time doing nothing.

    The orange bags they were carrying at the beginning are survival suits. They one piece jump suits that you crawl into before going overboard into the water. They are made to float and keep you warm for a limited time. They look like Gumby suits when worn.
