Hello!
I am new to Latvia experiencing my first winter here. So far I'm absolutely in love with this country and learning so much! I have a bit of a weird question as I'm not familiar with all the wildlife around here… or if this is even wildlife causing this, but I'm just wanting to know more so for my own curiosity.
Ever since the temperature has started to drop I've noticed these small piles of sand starting to build up around my garage. It started really small in the far left corner of my carport and has gradually been extending further and further across. I have no idea what could be causing this and if it is something I should be concerned about? If its nothing serious I don't want to bother my landlord about it, but if its something that is common and known to cause problems later on I'd like to deal with it sooner rather than later. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I dont think its connected with any animal or insect. Either muddy splashes from the vicinity or from inbetween the cobblestones
It’s not impossible that it’s an animal, but I’d rather think some structural changes when it becomes colder.
If the garage is not insulated, perhaps some condensation which then washes out a bit of sand from under floor, or something similar.
Was the garage built recently? Perhaps it’s something to do with it settling down.
Also could be the local small fairyfolk or lietuvēns.
That’s Pennywise 100% trust me.
ants
Moles, mice or ants like someone mentioned? Latvian wildlife is 99% harmless.
