Usha Vance appeared to ditch her wedding ring once again this week, just days after addressing speculation surrounding her marriage to the vice president.

The second lady teamed up with First Lady Melania Trump at Joint Base Andrews in Prince George’s County, Maryland, on Monday as they greeted military families and helped military spouses assemble 700 holiday care packages for service members to mark the start of the Christmas season, but people’s attention turned towards her ring finger. While at the event, Usha wore a long-sleeve gray jacket and camel pants – but she seemingly didn’t wear a ring on her ring finger.

Usha, who shares three children – sons Ewan, eight, and Vivek, five, and daughter Mirabel, three – with JD Vance, was seen without a ring while visiting the Camp Lejeune military base in Richlands, North Carolina, in late November. However, the VP was seen at an event on the same day, with his wedding ring on. The fact that Usha was spotted without her ring sparked speculation of marital trouble – but a representative for the second lady dismissed the rumors, telling People.com that Usha is “a mother of three young children, who does a lot of dishes, gives lots of baths, and forgets her ring sometimes.” It comes after a White House insider revealed President Trump is “starting to forget who he is” in a haunting new warning.

The rumors surrounding the Vances’ marriage intensified after a viral moment between JD and Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk. However, they seemingly put these rumors to bed by spending Thanksgiving together, alongside their three children. Usha and JD first met at Yale Law School in 2010 and have been married since 2014.

During the meeting with the Second Lady, Melania reflected, “We speak regularly of the bravery of our servicemembers, and we should. “But we must also illuminate the bravery of those who walk beside them. The spouses, who carry the weight of family life on top of their own dreams.”

She added, “As we celebrate this season of hope, I encourage everyone to also take care of yourselves. Your well-being is vital not just for our families, but for your own future.” Melania wore an oversized gray jacket with black trousers which she paired with knee-high kneeled boots.

During her own speech, the second lady explained, “The care packages that we’re assembling today are part proud and enduring tradition. It’s an honor to contribute to that legacy of service today. As we enter the holiday season, may we be reminded of our shared responsibility for our communities, our neighbors, and our nation.”
