High-level diplomats from the U.S. and South Korea pledged to maintain close coordination in efforts to restart dialogue with North Korea on Tuesday and discussed follow-up measures for agreements reached at the U.S.-ROK summit in late October.
U.S. Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker and South Korea’s First Vice Foreign Minister Park Yoon-joo agreed to communicate closely about DPRK policy during their talks in Washington, including denuclearization and Pyongyang’s “meaningful return to dialogue,” Seoul’s foreign ministry announced Wednesday.
