Danish brake supplier Meneta is expanding sustainable dynamometer test facilities in Shanghai and Odense to boost global capacity and consistency.

Meneta, a Danish automotive supplier, is expanding its brake testing capacity in Shanghai and Odense, according to The Brake Report. The investment increases global dynamometer capacity and supports more consistent testing between Asia and Europe.

In Shanghai, Meneta is moving existing dynamometers into a new dedicated test facility and adding new units. The site is built for stable temperatures between 23 and 25 degrees and reduced energy use. Heat recovery and free cooling systems help lower power consumption and CO2 emissions during testing.

In Odense, a new dynamometer built by Meneta’s own engineering team increases local test capacity. In-house construction allows quicker service and easier adaptation to new customer and regulatory requirements. The Danish facility also receives a new CO2 chiller system, replacing higher impact industrial refrigerants.

Meneta says the coordinated upgrades in China and Denmark will increase total test capacity across its global operations. The modernised equipment is intended to improve test consistency while supporting the company’s sustainability targets.
