I’ve had the same, wile driving my mobility scooter, deliberately pulled and stopped in front of me, unfortunately for the driver of the suv, I didn’t stop and dented the door. He winded his window and said what are you doing, I just sead, have you checked the latest High way code, he said you was on the pavement and pulled out, I just said exactly, Read the new Highway Code. My scooter wasn’t damaged.😁
