  1. I get it.

If they want to chase minor stuff like this, at least it needs to be 100% correct.

  2. Clearly the most technologically advanced German as he brought his laptop to prove it. I’m surprised he didn’t print it out and present the documents in a binder.

  3. Gegooglt might just be my least favourite German word 🤢

  4. Clearly just other countries coping, because he didn’t have to bribe the cop / the cop looked at his proof without beating him up.

  5. I think the problem is that he rides onto a sidewalk and then turns around on a zebra crossing but never in a million years would cops West of the Rhine and East of the Oder give a fraction of a fuck.

  6. The officer walks a dangerous path. He cannot cite the paragraph and in paragraph 26 stvo there is no mention of bikes not allowed on Zebrastreifen. You just don’t have the right of way if you do not get off the bike and push it, like walking pedestrians have. Since the officer collected money while using incorrect formalia, the civilian would have been allowed to shoot him.

  7. It is not illegal to cycle across a zebra crossing. The civilian is absolutely correct.

  8. I hate the Polizei in Germany.
They bust your balls as much as they can on little administrative nonsense and don’t care if they’re wrong and you have very little recourse.

  9. Police when they punish harmless and innocent civilians instead of actual criminals:

  10. Well there is a difference between ordnung and the law. Ordnung is a state of being, the law is just the law.

The officer were just providing ordnung, and as german he should understand and appriciate that.

  11. All this effort to avoid a 10 euro bill? And i won’t buy his claim that he is doing this on principal. Even if not illegal is certainly not pro social to be on wheels and still want to use a pedestrian crossing. Bikes are still vehicles that are moving in such velocity that anyone being on foot cant reach

  12. The poor policemen only get some action when they get to put up the Panzersperren around Christmas markets. Then it’s back to mundane crap and breaking up fights at night.

  13. Maybe sometimes it is ok for cops to just shoot people like in USA

  14. The bike dude is right, though.
The right of way does not forbid another participant to operate their vehicle to operate on that spot, that is just lines when there’s no car and therefore no need for regulation.
Classic: law is only concerned with a rule not outside of that rule..
